We've just rolled out a redesigned Web App, giving your customers a cleaner, more modern browser booking experience. The booking flow itself hasn't changed — only the way it looks and feels.
What's new in the Web App
We've refreshed the interface from top to bottom to make browser bookings feel as polished as booking through a native app.
- A modern, professional new look across every screen
- The same familiar booking flow your customers already know
- Support for both cash and cashless payment methods
No changes required on your end — the update applies automatically.
Note: If you already have a Web App widget embedded on your site, just make sure the frame is set to a minimum of 500px so the new design displays properly. Everything else updates on its own.
What is Web App, and why it matters
Web App lets customers book a ride straight from their browser — no app download, no App Store, no Google Play. Your customers can simply scan a QR code or follow a link to open the booking page.
Customers can also save a Web App icon to their home screen, giving them one-tap access to book again later without ever installing a mobile app.
This makes Web App especially useful for:
- Customers who don't want another app on their phone
- People with limited storage or mobile data
- Travelers on a slow connection, like at the airport
3 ways to attract more customers with Web App
Beyond the redesign, Web App is a flexible tool you can put to work in a few different ways:
1. Reach customers who don't want to download an app
Tourists and one-time riders often don't want to install an app they'll use only once or twice. With Web App, they can book instantly from a link or QR code, then save the icon to their home screen for next time.
2. Make employee transportation easy
Companies can order rides for employees without managing individual bookings, including multiple taxis at once — useful for commuting, events, business trips, or getting staff home safely.
3. Partner with hotels and other local businesses
Web App can also power partnerships. Hotels can use it to order taxis for guests, and you can work with restaurants, event venues, and travel companies to arrange rides for their customers too.
The redesigned Web App is live for all Onde partners. If you haven't used Web App before, check out our guide on how to place Web App on your site.
Coming soon: Web App widget
We're also building a Web App widget you'll be able to add directly to your own website. It will let customers book rides right from your site, without ever opening a separate booking page.
