Lookalike Audiences are created using the data from your Custom Audiences. In fact, Lookalike Audiences are lists of people who resemble your clients in demographic characteristic, behaviour and everyday choices. Because of being so similar to your existing clients, these people are the most likely to join your app’s community and become its active members.

Let’s enjoy the way it sounds once again: Lookalike Audiences allow you to reach people who don’t yet know your business but are extremely likely to become your customers! Wow! This is a perfectly usable tool for attracting more clients — but think of the possibilities to attract new employees with Lookalike Audiences! Because (for those who were waiting to hear it) you can target existing and potential employees via Facebook Ads as well. 🎉

To create a Lookalike Audience

You can define how big a Lookalike Audience should be. Normally, smaller Lookalike Audiences perform better for they match your initial target group more exactly. The larger a Lookalike Audience is the more people your ads will reach. At the same time, the bigger a Lookalike Audience becomes the less these people will resemble your existing users. It’s generally recommended to target groups up to 50,000 people depending on how big your customer base already is.

You can create and apply many different Lookalike Audiences for various ads or for one ad set to test its efficiency.
